The people, projects and practices building a more sustainable Portugal — gathered in one place.
A warm welcome to today's Pulse: from newly discovered moths in the Algarve to coastal resilience plans and a country working through its water and wildfire challenges. Let's take a calm look at sustainable Portugal today.

The work is already happening — quietly, everywhere.
Across Portugal, people are growing food, restoring land, building with earth, teaching old skills, and shaping more sustainable ways to live. Most of them don't know each other. And most of what they need — an extra pair of hands, a builder, a piece of advice, a buyer for their honey, a place at a workshop — is harder to find than it should be.
Sustainable Living is here to change that. We bring people, projects and practices together in one place, in two languages, so anyone working on a more sustainable Portugal can find each other — and the support they need to keep going.
This is a community in the making. We're building it slowly, openly, and together with the people doing the work. If you're already part of it, add your project or your profile. If you'd like to support it, see what projects are looking for.

For the land beneath our feet, and for the people working it. Everything starts here.
Nothing grows in isolation — not soil, not communities, not change. We're stronger together.
A forest takes a generation. A community takes years. We're here for the long haul.
Not the loud kind. The quiet, daily kind — built by showing up, and trying again.
