Volunteer for River Regeneration Mini-Internship

EcoAtivo is looking for volunteers for an intensive month (August 2026) of water cycle regeneration and agroforestry system maintenance, a mini-internship in ecological restoration. Tasks include building beaver dams, cutting and organizing biomass along contour lines, and helping create a regeneration plan. Requires fieldwork experience, good physical fitness, and willingness to learn and act for the environment. Accommodation and vegan sattvic meals included, living at the Ananda Kalyani community in Serra da Estrela. Limited spots.

EcoAtivo is a Portuguese nature protection and conservation association based in Fundão that works to improve the relationship between humans and the environment through regenerative ecology, environmental education, and technology-assisted ecosystem monitoring. The association runs multiple projects spanning syntropic agriculture, invasive species control, forest monitoring, and environmental education in the Serra da Estrela region.
