Volunteer / Mini-Internship in Ecosystem Restoration

EcoAtivo is looking for a small number of volunteers to join an intensive mini-internship in the Serra da Estrela foothills, focused on water-cycle regeneration and agroforestry on fire-degraded land. Tasks include building river dams, managing biomass along contour lines, maintaining agroforestry systems and contributing to a regeneration plan. Fieldwork takes place in the cooler parts of the day, around five hours daily. Accommodation at the nearby Ananda Kalyani community and vegan sattvic meals are provided, with the chance to practise yoga and meditation. Volunteers should be physically fit and have some previous fieldwork experience. Minimum stay: two weeks.
