Tree Watering Volunteer Day
Volunteers are needed to water the trees planted in January in Soito. Bring a bucket, a hoe and a friend, and help take care of the young trees on a summer afternoon together with the community.
About the project
Veredas da Estrela is a community association founded after the 2022 wildfires that devastated 25% of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, working to restore ecosystems and build fire-resilient villages in Figueiró da Serra and Freixo da Serra. The association organises community actions, trail restoration, and events like the Chocalhos Trail to connect people with the mountain and its regeneration.
