Volunteer for "Walk to Preserve" conservation days
Movimento Estrela Viva regularly organises volunteer conservation days in the Serra da Estrela, such as seed collection of native rowan (Tramazeira) and litter clean-ups, in partnership with ICNF. Volunteers join the field work to help reforest and protect the native forest.
About the project
Movimento Estrela Viva is a non-partisan, non-profit citizen movement born after the 2017 wildfires, dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural heritage of Serra da Estrela. It organises reforestation, native seed collection, river preservation and environmental awareness initiatives across the region.
