Quercus organises guided walk from Castelo de Vide to Marvão on 15 November

The Portalegre branch of environmental group Quercus is running a guided field trip through the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park on Sunday 15 November. Walkers will go on foot from Castelo de Vide to Marvão, taking in the area's landscapes, plants and wildlife as well as geological, cultural and historical features of the villages along the way. Places are limited to 20 and registration closes at noon on 12 November. The fee is four euros for Quercus members, covering insurance and guiding, and people can join the association when signing up. Meals and transport are not included, though organisers will coordinate travel to make the best use of vehicles.
