Ten degraded Coimbra buildings now under reconstruction

Coimbra's mayor Ana Abrunhosa told the Municipal Assembly that, of the hundreds of notices sent by the council to owners of degraded buildings, ten properties have already started reconstruction work. The notices mainly target buildings in the city's Baixa (downtown) area. Abrunhosa cited the figure as evidence that the enforcement campaign is producing concrete results, though most notified owners have yet to act.
