University of the Algarve hosts national ocean literacy conference in Faro this November
The University of the Algarve is hosting the third National Ocean Literacy Conference on 6 and 7 November at its Penha Campus in Faro, the first time the event has been held in the south of the country. It examines how knowledge of the ocean connects with education, public policy and the blue economy, with particular attention to Algarve projects. Day one includes a panel on ocean literacy and the blue economy, a showcase of youth projects and short documentaries. Day two looks at public policy and blue citizenship, innovative ocean education and ends with workshops. Ciência Viva, the national Ocean Decade committee and the university organise it.
