About the project
Marruge Ecovillage is a rural regeneration project in a schist village in the Caramulo Mountains, blending regenerative agriculture, bioclimatic renovation and wellbeing eco-tourism around its 20 natural springs. It aims to become a car-free, energy- and food-self-sufficient ecovillage and a living laboratory for sustainable rural development in Portugal.
