Volunteers for reforestation action (acorn sowing)
Join the 3rd reforestation action on the 25th (Saturday), from 10am to 5pm, sowing black oak acorns. Meeting point at the start of the dirt road near Sra. Da Assedasse at 9:30am; lunch with local produce is offered. Sign up by the 23rd via private message.
About the project
Reserva do Vale Velho is an ecological restoration and cultural preservation project on a 100-hectare former farm in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, combining organic farming, rewilding, and archaeology. It is run by a young couple dedicated to reforestation, biodiversity recovery, and safeguarding local heritage and ancestral knowledge.
