Citizen tree-hunter for the Giant Trees project
No prior training is required: anyone can take part at any time. VERDE is seeking volunteers to join the ongoing nationwide search for large and remarkable trees, helping to locate, measure and map these specimens as part of the Gigantes Verdes project.
About the project
VERDE is a Portuguese nature conservation association based in Lousada that protects old-growth trees, supports biodiversity, and offers carbon offsetting through tree preservation and planting. The association engages its growing community through volunteering, membership, outdoor activities, and ambassador training.
