Giant Trees Hunter – Mapping and Measuring Volunteer
VERDE is looking for more people to join the Gigantes Verdes initiative, travelling around the country to search for, measure and map some of Portugal's largest and most impressive trees. Hundreds of people are already taking part, but many giants remain to be discovered.
About the project
VERDE is a Portuguese nature conservation association based in Lousada that protects old-growth trees, supports biodiversity, and offers carbon offsetting through tree preservation and planting. The association engages its growing community through volunteering, membership, outdoor activities, and ambassador training.
