Volunteer work days – native forest restoration (Belazaima do Chão, Águeda)
Recurring volunteer work days where volunteers do the association's own field work: collecting acorns for sowing, controlling invasive species such as mimosa, acacia and eucalyptus, and maintaining planted trees. Lunch and snacks are provided. Registration by email is mandatory (full name, NIF, mobile number and date of birth, for insurance).
About the project
Associação Cabeço Santo is a Portuguese environmental NGO working to restore degraded landscapes on the western slopes of the Serra do Caramulo, by removing invasive species and reintroducing native flora. Founded in 2019 out of a project active since 2006, it involves volunteers and local communities in nature conservation and environmental education.
