Águas do Algarve joins Ria Formosa awareness week again

The Semana da Ria Formosa returns from 17 to 24 April, organised by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) with Águas do Algarve, municipalities and other regional bodies. Aimed mainly at schools in the five municipalities of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the initiative promotes environmental awareness through workshops, field trips, volunteering, talks and exhibitions, also open to families and the general public. Schools are invited to produce work on the Ria Formosa. The seahorse, an emblematic species of the lagoon, has been adopted as the event's symbol.
