Algarve Nature Fest expands to all five Ria Formosa municipalities

The Algarve Nature Fest returns from 25 to 27 September, for the first time spreading activities across all five municipalities of the Ria Formosa: Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António. Organised by Turismo do Algarve, the festival offers free nature-tourism activities such as walks, cycling, canoeing and birdwatching, alongside a schools programme reaching 512 pupils. The edition coincides with the Ria Formosa's 10th-place ranking among Europe's best birdwatching destinations for 2026. It also includes familiarisation trips for international operators and press, plus a B2B meeting connecting them with local tourism businesses.
