Beekeepers can extend biodiversity support for a further year, applications close 9 November

Topicsbiodiversity conservation

Beekeepers in mainland Portugal whose applications under Notice 01/C.1.1.6/2024 are still active can now extend their commitments by one year. The scheme is not a fresh call open to all beekeepers. The aid is a non-repayable annual grant, fixed according to the number of hives, rising from 132 euros for 10 to 24 hives to 3,170 euros for 500 or more. It recognises the role of bees in pollinating crops and keeping ecosystems balanced. Eligible beneficiaries must apply by 9 November 2026, and the Young Farmers' Association, AJAP, offers help to those interested.
