CAP to hold two events on EU wildfire risk report

The Confederação dos Agricultores de Portugal (CAP) is holding two events, on 16 and 17 September in Coimbra and Vila Real, to present and discuss a recent opinion by the European Economic and Social Committee on integrated wildfire risk management. The EESC opinion calls for stronger prevention measures, professionalisation of firefighting, greater public awareness of fire risks, and a dedicated EU fund for wildfire prevention within the next Multiannual Financial Framework. The sessions will take place at the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra and the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Full programme and registration details are yet to be announced.
