EU aquaculture training platform launches at University of Algarve

The AQUATECHinn 4.0 online learning platform, funded by the EU's ERASMUS+ programme, will be launched on 17 June at the University of Algarve. Led by SGS Tecnos with partners including CCMAR, it offers a free, certified 120-hour curriculum covering fish and shellfish aquaculture technologies, sustainability management, animal health and welfare. Designed to fill gaps left by traditional training programmes, it is self-paced and available in seven languages, using virtual reality and gamification tools. The launch coincides with the project's closing conference in Faro, featuring expert talks and a live platform demonstration.
