Funchal marine station holds final summer open night on turtles

The Marine Biology Station in Funchal holds its last summer Open Night on 25 September, focused on marine turtles. The event starts with a guided tour at 20h00, followed at 21h30 by a talk from University of Madeira professor Thomas Dëllinger on juvenile turtles, especially the loggerhead, in Madeiran waters, drawing on over three decades of research. The Open Night series, running for more than 20 years as part of Funchal Council's educational programme, has reached over 2,000 people to date.
