Funchal museum launches first Madeira butterfly biodiversity guide

The Natural History Museum of Funchal will present, on 26 June at 16:00, the first volume of the Biodiversity Guides of the Madeira Archipelago and the Selvagens Islands, focused on butterflies. Written by António Franquinho Aguiar, Ricardo Araújo and Ysabel Gonçalves, the bilingual Portuguese-English guide includes a preface by Funchal's mayor, Jorge Carvalho. The series aims to spread scientific knowledge and strengthen public connection with natural heritage, supporting environmental education as one of the municipality's goals.
