Green Market Madeira draws record crowd in Ribeira Brava debut

The 8th edition of Madeira's circular eco-market took place for the first time in Ribeira Brava's Nova Praça, drawing strong turnout from locals and visitors over two days. Created in November 2023 by Falésia Atelier, the itinerant market has grown from 13 initial participants to more than 60 in this edition, reinforcing its role in promoting local crafts, conscious brands and municipalities across the region. Co-founder Carlota Gouveia said the project's growth and rising number of applications reflect renewed confidence from artisans, brands and municipalities, and reaffirmed the market's aim of decentralising conscious consumption across Madeira.
