Mogadouro solar plant public consultation draws 246 submissions

A public consultation on the scoping proposal for the environmental impact study of the Cereiro Solar Photovoltaic Plant, in Travanca, Mogadouro, closed with 246 submissions, according to the participa.pt portal. Running from 22 July, the consultation covers a project linked to hybridising the Bemposta hydroelectric plant, with a proposed 104 MWp capacity and annual output of around 205 GWh. The study area spans 532 hectares across Mogadouro and Miranda do Douro. Construction is estimated to take 18 months, with an operational life of 35 years, extendable to 50. The developer is Solar de Travanca, Unipessoal Lda.
