Multicare and Fidelidade back forum on wildfires and health

Multicare and Fidelidade's Impact Center for Climate Change are supporting a colloquium on "Wildfires and Human Health", organised by the Portuguese Council for Health and Environment, taking place on 8 July at Multicare's auditorium in Lisbon. The event brings together specialists to discuss wildfires' health impacts and integrated responses, given Portugal's vulnerability to the phenomenon, having lost nearly a quarter of its territory to fires over the past 20 years, the highest such figure in Europe. The programme includes sessions on vulnerability, health impacts and a guide to fires, plus a roundtable with officials from civil protection, environmental and health bodies.
