Santarém to host fourth national meeting of Guardiãs da Natureza

Business as Nature will hold the fourth National Meeting of Guardiãs da Natureza on 25 September at the Convento de São Francisco in Santarém, under the patronage of President António José Seguro. The event brings together women farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers and public bodies linked to the Rede de Guardiãs da Natureza, which covers 28 protected areas in Portugal and over 500 women-led initiatives in sustainable farming, nature conservation and rural tourism. The programme includes panels on women in agriculture, a CONFAGRI protocol signing, and presentations from CPLP guardiãs from Cape Verde, Timor-Leste and Brazil. Government ministers and ICNF and Turismo de Portugal representatives are expected to attend.
