Talk on birds of Leiria district set for Saturday

The Al-Baiaz association is hosting a free talk titled "As Aves do Distrito de Leiria" on the 4th, at 5pm, at its headquarters in Vendas de Maria, Maçãs de Dona Maria. The district has over 350 recorded wild bird species, ranking fourth nationally in avian diversity, attributed to its geography, varied habitats and important bird areas. Guest speaker Gonçalo Elias, a noted researcher of Portuguese birdlife, will focus on the district's birds, highlighting notable species found in the Pinhal Interior region. The event is open to anyone interested in local birdlife.
