Third OBSERVALAGUNAS nature festival returns to Santo André and Sancha lagoons in October

Topicsbiodiversity conservation

The third OBSERVALAGUNAS takes place on 17 and 18 October at the Santo André and Sancha Lagoons Nature Reserve, centred on Monte do Paio. Dozens of activities are planned, including scientific bird ringing, guided walks, nature photography, workshops, talks and environmental education for children and families. An artistic strand adds urban sketching, live mural painting and a photography exhibition on the cork-oak landscape. There is also a regional products market, with music at the end of each day. On the second day, at 18:00, a rehabilitated wild animal will be released by the local wildlife recovery centre. Entry is free, though some activities need prior booking or carry a fee, and outdoor events depend on the weather.
