Winners announced in Portugal's Mares Circulares school contest

The sixth edition of the Mares Circulares nas Escolas contest, which encourages students to tackle marine litter and promote the circular economy, has named its winners. Sixteen schools submitted 32 projects across two categories: lower secondary (3º Ciclo) and upper secondary/vocational education. The jury, formed by representatives of LPN, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Escola Azul, awarded top prizes to Escola Secundária José Estêvão in the older category and Escola Básica Marquesa de Alorna in the younger one, with several other projects receiving honourable mentions. Organisers thanked participating schools and said winners would soon be contacted about prize-giving arrangements.
