Joana Castro

Joana holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Lisbon, specializing in dolphin social organization and behaviour. With over two decades of experience in marine mammal research and environmental education, she founded and directs AIMM. She leads conservation and ecological studies of marine mammals along Portugal's south coast and has consulted and educated for whale-watching companies, zoos, universities, and governmental organizations globally.
