Centro

Schist villages, serra forests and some of the country's most hands-on regeneration work: MONTIS restoring native woodland, ecovillages like Quinta do Vale da Páscoa and Loura, carbon-negative building at Cânhamor, and revived places like Cerdeira in the Serra da Lousã. Central Portugal is where land is affordable and the work is visible.
