Summer Volunteer for the Sea
Ocean Alive is recruiting volunteers with a few free hours in August or September to help protect seagrass meadows in the Sado estuary. Roles include raising awareness with the boating community about seagrass meadows and good navigation practices, or joining the marine education and outreach team at Tróia-Mar beach near the Ponta do Adoxe meadow. About the project
Ocean Alive is Portugal's first cooperative dedicated to protecting the ocean. It works with coastal and fishing communities to conserve seagrass meadows and reduce marine litter, combining scientific research, advocacy and community engagement to bring about lasting changes in behaviour for a healthier ocean.
