European Solidarity Corps volunteer placement – forest conservation
Plantar Uma Árvore hosts long-term European Solidarity Corps volunteers to work hands-on in native forest restoration and conservation in Portugal, living and working together with an international team in Sintra. Volunteers take part in fieldwork such as invasive species control, tree protection and habitat restoration, gaining practical conservation experience while being housed with the team.
About the project
Plantar uma Árvore is a Portuguese environmental NGO dedicated to native forest conservation and ecological restoration through volunteer-driven tree planting and habitat recovery programmes. The organisation has engaged over 37,000 volunteers across key natural areas including Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and Mata Nacional do Bussaco.
