Long-term Volunteer (European Solidarity Corps)
Plantar Uma Árvore, a native forest conservation NGO in Portugal, hosts young long-term volunteers through the European Solidarity Corps who spend several months working on the ground alongside the coordination team, carrying out ongoing forest restoration tasks in sites such as Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and Bussaco National Forest, even outside of group activity periods.
About the project
Plantar uma Árvore is a Portuguese environmental NGO dedicated to native forest conservation and ecological restoration through volunteer-driven tree planting and habitat recovery programmes. The organisation has engaged over 37,000 volunteers across key natural areas including Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and Mata Nacional do Bussaco.
