AEP survey finds few northern Portuguese firms have set sustainability targets
A diagnostic promoted by the Portuguese Business Association (AEP) found that 91% of companies in northern Portugal regard sustainability as a business concern, yet only 15% have defined objectives for the short, medium and long term. The findings come from the project "Novo Rumo a Norte – Rumo à Sustentabilidade", which covered 500 micro, small and medium-sized firms. In Alto Minho, a heavily industrial and export-oriented area with a strong automotive and components sector, the results show some favourable signs in environmental monitoring.
