AJAP wraps up 60 outreach sessions on rural innovation nationwide

The Association of Young Farmers of Portugal (AJAP) has finished the first phase of its Rural Innovation Challenges project, holding 60 outreach sessions across the country in schools, universities, cooperatives and municipalities. The sessions, run with partners Caja Rural del Sur and Agrimútuo, aimed to raise awareness of opportunities in rural areas amid ageing populations and depopulation. The project now moves into its competition phase, open to young farmers, rural entrepreneurs and students, with applications open until 16 August and prizes worth over €20,000 across four categories.
