Alentejo project plans 144-home conscious village by 2028

NEOS is a 410-hectare project in Alentejo founded by Karen Aiyana Birch and Vincent Daranyi, combining a planned residential village with a retreat and education centre. The southern 158 hectares will host up to 144 sustainable homes clustered around shared spaces, with move-in targeted for the end of 2028. The northern 252 hectares, Neos Center, already runs retreats and is envisioned as a healing and educational hub with a restaurant, gallery, market and conference centre. A 2027 onboarding programme will prepare future residents to live and work together as a community.
