The Centre of Marine Sciences of the Algarve (CCMAR) has launched an international storytelling contest called "Hidden in the Blue: Stories of Marine Bioprospecting", inviting young people aged 15 to 18 to make videos about marine biodiversity's potential for developing new products. Entries, lasting 30 seconds to five minutes, can be made solo or in teams of up to five, in various formats, and must be submitted by 15 November 2026, with a winner announced on 11 December. The winning team will receive audiovisual content-creation kits. The contest is part of the EU-funded EUREMAP project under Horizon Europe.
