Company staff plant 700 native trees on former motocross track in Valença
About 700 native trees were planted on Saturday morning on common land in the parish of Fontoura, in Valença. The planting took place at the Baldio dos Azevinheiros, on a former motocross track, and was organised by the company MAAP – MA Automotive Portugal as a team-building activity for its employees. A thousand trees had been planned, but the site's characteristics and available area did not allow all of them to go in. The remainder will replace trees that died in areas planted in earlier years. Civil Protection, parish council workers, local associations and volunteers helped with the preparation and with food for the participants.
