The Moto Clube de Arcos de Valdevez will hold a tree-planting day on 7 November at 09:00 at the Baldios das Alminhas do Monte, in the parish of Vilela. It forms part of the club's environmental pledge tied to the ARCOS TT off-road event and aims to offset the event's ecological footprint. Under this "Compromisso Verde", about 10,000 trees have already been planted in the municipality in recent years. The Escola Superior Agrária of the Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo provides scientific guidance, with the Sementes Amigas group and local authorities also supporting the work.
