Guimarães to hold litter-picking walk and sustainability talk

Guimarães Municipality will hold the "Plogging 40 KMTS Partilha" initiative on 3 and 4 October, a walk along the Caminho de Torres combining exploration of the area with litter collection. On 13 October, celebrations for the National Pilgrim's Day continue with a colloquium on sustainability and nature. The walk is organised with the Laboratório da Paisagem and the Guimarães branch of the Associação Espaço Jacobeus, as part of the Guimarães European Green Capital 2026 programme. Organisers aim to raise awareness of landscape preservation and promote the Caminho de Torres as a pilgrimage route.
