Lagoa council funds home renovations for five vulnerable families

Five families in the Lagoa municipality, totalling 13 people, had their homes renovated through a partnership between Lagoa Council and non-profit Just a Change. The council funded the works with €33,227.68, while young volunteers from the organisation carried out improvements between 31 August and 12 September, tailored to each property's needs to boost safety, comfort and hygiene. The council also gave logistical support to the volunteers. The project is part of an ongoing collaboration between the two organisations to tackle housing poverty, with the municipality saying it remains committed to improving housing access for vulnerable families.
