Faro and volunteer project finish renovating ten more run-down homes for families in need

Topicssustainable housing

Housing, alongside health and education, is one of the most pressing problems in the municipality of Faro, where market prices are out of reach for most people who need a home. The project relies on volunteers, including businesspeople, builders and workers, working with the town hall. The council sets the priorities from a list drawn up by its social services. The scale is small against the shortfall, but it eases some of the pressure.
