LIPOR and VivaLab launch tool-lending library in Porto

LIPOR has partnered with VivaLab to launch "Coisas à Mão", a tool-lending library aimed at encouraging sharing over ownership. Based at VivaLab (Tinker City) on Rua Pedro Hispano in Porto, it lends out equipment for small repairs, DIY, gardening and other everyday tasks that are often used only once or twice before sitting unused. Users register on a platform to request items, then collect and return them in person, with equipment checked jointly with the project team. The initiative aims to cut waste, make better use of existing resources and strengthen sustainable communities.
