Manteigas hosts second Lãnd Wool Innovation Week session

Manteigas, in the Guarda district, is hosting the second three-day session of the Lãnd Wool Innovation Week, promoted by the local council and the Rede de Aldeias de Montanha. Under the theme 'Fricção', the event explores wool as a strategic and cultural resource for mountain territories, combining talks, a book presentation, artistic residencies with senior and school communities, and design pieces created with local factories Ecolã and Burel Factory. The final day includes a transhumance route stage, a shepherds' memorial mass, the traditional 'Almoço do Pastor' and music and discussion sessions on landscape sustainability. The initiative is part of the PROVERE Aldeias de Montanha 2030 strategy, co-funded by Centro 2030.
