Miranda do Douro hosts first meeting of local beekeepers

Miranda do Douro will host its first Encontro de Apicultores da Terra de Miranda on 5 October, organised by the municipality and the Associação de Apicultores do Parque Natural do Douro Internacional. The event aims to protect and boost beekeeping in the region amid climate and sustainability challenges facing the sector. Organisers describe it as a turning point for valuing honey produced on the Planalto Mirandês, seeking to build a support network among local beekeepers to find shared solutions and strengthen the honey supply chain.
