Ocean Hackathon returns to Peniche for third edition in October
Registrations are open until 14 October for the third Portuguese edition of the Ocean Hackathon in Peniche, a 48-hour international competition running from 16 to 18 October at the ESTM of the Universidade de Leiria e Oeste. Teams of students, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals will build prototypes addressing five challenges, including fish economy transparency, coastal lagoon monitoring, product traceability, aquaculture digitalisation and water quality monitoring. The event runs simultaneously in 12 cities worldwide, part of the Brest-founded Campus Mondial de la Mer programme, and is organised locally with several Portuguese institutions and the Peniche municipality.
