Penela hosts fourth lamb and mushroom food week with eight restaurants

From 30 October to 8 November, the municipality of Penela holds the fourth edition of its Lamb and Mushroom Gastronomic Week. Eight local restaurants, spread across parishes such as Rabaçal, Espinhal and Cumeeira, will each serve their own dishes built around those two ingredients, ranging from traditional recipes to more inventive takes. Other regional products appear alongside them, including Terras de Sicó wines, Rabaçal cheese and honey. Mayor Eduardo Nogueira dos Santos says the aim is to promote local restaurants, showcase homegrown produce and boost tourism, strengthening the area's culinary identity.
