Portugal's environment ministry declares 51 PRR targets fully met

Portugal's Ministry of Environment and Energy says it has fully completed 51 targets under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), representing over €1,800 million in investment. The Algarve received €106 million for its Regional Water Efficiency Plan, funding network repairs, wastewater reuse and increased water transfer capacity between the Sotavento and Barlavento. Other funds covered energy efficiency, hydrogen and renewable gases, energy storage, public transport decarbonisation and the blue economy. More than 85,000 homes received support, and a target of 860 zero-emission buses was exceeded, reaching 952.
