Sociedade Ponto Verde offers free recycling training for teachers

Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) will offer a free online course on packaging recycling for teachers and educators during the 2026/2027 school year, part of its Academia Ponto Verde programme launched in 2019. The announcement coincides with Teachers' Day on 5 October. The academy reached over 38,000 students nationwide in 2025/2026, and SPV aims to expand this to 50,000 students next year, a roughly 36% increase. Interested teachers can register via email. CEO Ana Trigo Morais highlighted teachers' role in shaping how children understand and engage with environmental issues.
