Systemic Sphere launches service to audit green claims

Consultancy Systemic Sphere has launched GreenProof Compliance, a service to help organisations validate and document their environmental and ESG claims. The move responds to tightening EU rules, including Directive (EU) 2024/825, which bans vague or unsubstantiated green claims and will be enforced in Portugal through unfair commercial practices, advertising and environmental oversight regimes. The company cites European Commission studies showing over half of environmental claims examined were vague, misleading or unfounded. The service offers audits, regulatory benchmarking, internal compliance procedures and staff training to help firms reduce greenwashing risk and back their claims with verifiable evidence.
