Terras sem Sombra festival returns to Gavião and Belver

The Terras sem Sombra festival holds a weekend of free events in Gavião and Belver on 27-28 June, combining heritage, music and nature. Saturday afternoon offers a guided tour of Belver Castle, a medieval Hospitaller fortress overlooking the Tagus, followed by an evening chamber concert by Italy's Duo Baldo-Consonni in Belver's parish church. Sunday morning brings a walk through Gavião's cork, holm oak and pine woodlands, examining forest management challenges amid climate change and wildfire risk. The programme, supported by Gavião's municipality and the Italian Institute of Culture, continues on 11-12 July in Coruche.
